Itinerary

Day 1- Lima Airport - free day

You will be picked up at the airport by Our representative and taken to your Lima hotel.

Day 2- Lima - Ballestas islands - Ica.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, this day You start the adventure in Peru, travel 4 Hours to Paracas bay. where you go on an adventurous boat trip across the Paracas Bay to the Ballestas Islands, where you will be able to spot sea lions, seals, penguins, guano birds, and turtles (rarely found at this latitude). The boat trip lasts approximately 2 hours.

On the way to the islands, you will also get the opportunity to spot the Candelabra, a 165-foot (50-meter) long sketching in the rock, which experts believe is connected to the Nazca Lines. Debate with your companions whether the Candelabra formation represents a cactus -.a symbol of power in the ancient Chavin culture - or perhaps the Southern Cross constellation.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with sea lions and birds. Some of the unique bird species you might see include the Humboldt Penguin and the Peruvian Booby which survive only on the Humboldt Current, as well as the Cormorant Guanau and the Red-legged Cormorant. Depending on the season, you willl see sea lions playing with their young or simply frolicking on the rocks.

2 more hours to Ica where you will spend the night (Optional Huacachina Oasis or Pisco route)

Day 3- Ica - Nazca (Nazca lines)

Early in the morning after breakfast at hotel you keep on your adventure, this time 4 hours by car to Nazca town, after we stop at hotel you will get ready to fly over the enigmatic Nazca Lines.

Day 4- Nazca - Arequipa (car)

10 hours car ride to Arequipa city (lunch on the way).

Day 5- Arequipa - free day.

Arequipa is one the mots interesting Cities, you can visit the Local San Camilo Market, Convento de Santa Catalina, the museum of  Santuarios Andinos and see the Juanita mummy

Day 6- Arequipa - Colca canon

After Breakfast at hotel you will take the tourist bus to Chivay town, it is about 3 hours ride. On the way to chivay we will get  the best Mirador where we can enjoy a amazing view of the Volcanos around Arequipa City 

Day 7- Colca canon - Puno   (car)

6 hours

Day 8- Puno - lake Titicaca

Day 9- Lame Titicaca - Puno

Day 10- Puno - Cusco (car)

7 hours

Day 11- Cusco -  free day 

Day 12- Cusco - city tour - Machu Picchu

Day 13- Machu Picchu tour - Cusco

Day 14- Cusco - Tambopata amazon reserve (flight)

Day 15- Tambopata

What you need to bring/carry:

  • Daypack,
  • Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco for a few dollars)
  •  comfortable footwear
  • Sweater and jacket (something warm)
  • Water bottle and purification tablets (Micropur are recommended and can be bought in local pharmacies in Cusco)
  • Hat or cap to protect you from the sun
  • Sun block (sun protection cream)
  • Insect repellent
  • Selection of small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits etc,
  • Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries
  • You also need to bring your original passport on the trail and your student ISIC card (if claiming a student discount)

(1) An extra night in Aguas Calientes can easily be arranged for you if required. Hotels costs and costs associated with returning to Machu Picchu the following day are additional to trek costs.

Time of arrival in Cusco after returning from the tour. (Expedition train service)
you will return to Cusco approximately 9pm on the last day of the tour (if you have overnight in Aguas Calientes the train will be at the same time). The tickets are subject to availability and at times of high demand, we may have to change your departure to an alternative service / departure time without prior notice departing on the someday as stated in your service voucher.  

This alternative service may run only as far as Ollantaytambo, in which case we will  provide transport for you back to your hotel in Cusco. If the service is more expensive our Company will pay additional cost.

This applies to return by train only,  We will not be responsible for additional costs associated with returning to Cusco in any other form. If it is your decision to change to a different service or different date you must inform us at the time of purchasing the tour and pay any additional cost yourselves.

2) Vegetarian Meals. We can provide vegetarian meals or cater for special diets with no extra cost. Just let us know at least 2 days prior to trek departure.(much better TO LET US KNOW at the time of your booking)

Other information:
(1) Luggage storage. When you go on the trek it is best to leave any luggage that you are not going to need behind in Cusco. Nearly all the hotels in Cusco provide a secure luggage deposit.
(2)Put any valuables in their safe. Very rarely do hotels charge for this service especially if you are returning to the same hotel after the trek. If there are any problems with your hotel we can arrange to store your luggage at our office.

As you may realize we are very happy to announce (publish) our  trek prices and departures, but we are very clear too that some of the third party cost such, entrance fee to Machu Picchu, train tickett return, etc, may increase later, even a month before your trek departure as is been happening the last 05 years.
If any of the third party costs listed below (what is included) change to increase the cost of the trek we will immediately update the trek price listed on our website and will inform by email to every client, Clients will be liable for paying any increased cost of the Inca Trail trek upon arrival in Cusco
